Topping the list is France's Just Fontaine with 13 goals in 1958, followed by Hungary's Sándor Kocsis (11 goals in 1954) and Germany's Gerd Müller (10 goals in 1970). Brazil's Ademir and Portugal's Eusébio each scored 9 goals, in 1950 and 1966 respectively. Argentina's Guillermo Stábile netted 8 in 1930, and Brazil's Ronaldo Nazário also scored 8 in 2002.
