À propos de cet album
After a sixteen-year silence, Clipse returned with Let God Sort Em Out, a self-released studio album dropping on July 11, 2025. Brothers Pusha T and No Malice finally reunited to deliver their fourth full-length project, ending the long wait since 2009's Til the Casket Drops. Pharrell Williams handled all production duties here, marking his first major solo effort without Chad Hugo. The duo recorded across seven locations including Paris, Virginia Beach, and New York, weaving together themes of street life, faith, and industry conflict into a tight forty-minute runtime.
The release faced significant hurdles before hitting shelves. Def Jam Records initially planned a 2024 launch but stalled when they demanded Kendrick Lamar censor his verse on "Chains & Whips" due to fears of backlash from President Donald Trump. Pusha T argued the real friction stemmed from feuds between Clipse and Lamar against Drake following the rapper's lawsuit against Universal Music Group. Refusing to compromise, the pair paid a seven-figure sum to exit their contract and signed a distribution deal with Roc Nation instead.
Critical reception was immediate and strong. Rolling Stone awarded four stars while The Guardian gave it a perfect five. SHIFTER Magazine named it Album of the Year for 2025. Commercially, the record debuted at #4 on the Billboard 200 with 118,000 equivalent album units in its first week. It also topped the Independent Albums and Vinyl Albums charts before landing at #2 on Top Rap Albums. A tour supporting the album ran alongside EarthGang from August through November 2025.
