Inde Navarrette on HEAT 2 rumors
par Capucine · old hollywood: Inde Navarrette
Inde Navarrette clarifies she never turned down a role in Michael Mann's HEAT 2, explaining that her audition process stretched over two months starting in April. She sent in several self-tapes and even asked the team what they preferred because she wanted to learn from the experience regardless of the character size. As Kyle Buchanan reports, she insists she definitely didn't say no, though she acknowledges that rejection happens to everyone.

Is it true that you were offered heat too? No. There were a lot of headlines about that. There was. I'm glad that you brought it up because I can say it. No, I was not offered heat too. I auditioned, I want to say, for two months from April all the way up until... I don't know if it had gotten cast, but it was just kind of no longer a conversation. I remember I sent in multiple self-tapes, different self-tapes. I was like, what do you like, what do you not like? I mean, it's with an insane cast. And even if it was as small of a character, I was like, I just wanted to learn. who wanted to learn. So definitely, definitely didn't say no, but I think that's one of those opportunities where no matter how big you get, you're still gonna get told no.
