Rep. Jasmine Crockett kings and queens
par Lucid Arthur: Jasmine Crockett
Wait you think Rep. Jasmine Crockett would ever shrink herself to fit a mold? She says Black people came from kings and queens, so pretending to be something else is just not an option for her. Her current self isn't luck; it's the result of surviving everything thrown her way. The logic she lays out is clear: 'We came from kings and queens so why is it that I would ever cower and try to be something that I'm not.' Fr

We came from kings and queens, so why is it that I would ever power and try to pretend to be something that I'm not? We came from the greatest. The fact that we are here today, that is the result of literally surviving it all. We are the strongest of the strong because there were so many that didn't even survive the journey. And we survived not only the journey, but Jim Crow and everything else that they tried to throw at us. So I don't know why I would ever be apologetic about who I am. Thank you so much.
