Verón family Estudiantes legacy

Four Libertadores sit in the cabinet and every one of them carries the same last name. At Estudiantes de La Plata that name is Verón, and the Pincha story basically runs through it. Juan Ramón Verón, La Bruja, did the Americas three times over: 1968, 1969, 1970. Add the decisive strike at Old Trafford that sealed the 1968 Intercontinental Cup against Manchester United, and the path was his to open. La Brujita, Juan Sebastián Verón, took it from there. The club's fourth Libertadores landed in 2009. A Club World Cup against Guardiola's Barcelona, with Messi, Xavi and Iniesta on the other side, slipped away by a single minute. He came back to the club afterward, added another Americas crown, collected national titles, and hung up the boots in the Estudiantes shirt. Then came the president's office, and the résumé didn't stop growing. The new stadium got pushed through. National-level titles have been celebrated from that chair. A Libertadores final is already on the record, with eternal glory the dream once more. He's also among the loudest voices against Claudio Tapia's AFA leadership. Two generations of legend. A love story with glory and legacy baked in. Who's a bigger family in Pincha history?
