Israel halts Gaza commercial goods

Gaza's commercial supply line has been cut off, per Israel, after merchants stopped working with Israeli authorities over fresh fees and payment demands coming from Hamas. Israeli officials say the going rate Hamas charges is around $3,220 for each truck that crosses in, plus a requirement that 30% of local sales get handed over as cash. That puts yet another route for food and basic goods at risk, in a territory where humanitarian aid is what people live on.
