    Richard Heart detained in Istanbul

Istanbul is where Richard Heart was reportedly picked up, his wife detained alongside him, after Interpol circulated a Red Notice that Finland asked for. He's Richard James Schueler on paper; crypto knows him as the Hex founder. Turkish officers walked away with a haul worth listing: a dozen phones, laptops, guns, drones, gold pieces, and a pile of cash. Finland's pursuit centers on aggravated tax fraud allegations. There's also an assault allegation in the mix, reported separately. The SEC's 2023 version: he pulled in over $1 billion via offerings that weren't registered, and at least $12 million of that investor money allegedly went to high-end buys, the flashiest being a 555-carat black diamond. Jurisdiction tripped the case up in 2025, and the agency let it drop. Extradition from Turkey? Finland hasn't made its move clear. Source: Yahoo News / Writer: Mhedi
