Vatican Clericus Cup and blue card rule

The Vatican runs its own football tournaments, which is a sentence I never expected to type. The Clericus Cup and the Vatican City Championship pull in priests, seminarians and Holy See employees, and the games get properly heated because the people playing actually care about both the sport and their faith. No big-money signings, no global names wearing the armband, just tight matches with real stakes. Oh, and there's a blue card in play, used to temporarily sanction a player. That's a rulebook wrinkle you won't find in most leagues. What the Vatican doesn't have is a spot in FIFA, and the reason is straightforward: this football stays amateur, without the professional setup that national teams elsewhere are built on. Football clearly gets lived inside the Vatican too, just on its own terms.
