Hiroya Oku GANTZ retirement update

Hiroya Oku just doubled down on his retirement plan, stating he's drawn enough and will hang up his pen once 'The SWEET Sixty Princess' wraps. He confirmed he's committed to finishing both that new series and 'GANTZ:E' before stepping away for good. Earlier this year the decision felt final because he simply lacks the energy to keep drawing anymore. Despite the exit strategy, there are still projects in motion. The anime movie adaptation for 'GIGANT' got announced back in May and is actively being produced right now. Plus, the second part of 'Thunder 3' has a scheduled broadcast window set for 2027. It's a mix of closing chapters and final pushes for the creator known for 'GANTZ'.
