Isaias has officially become a hurricane according to the NHC. Dropsonde data from an Air Force Reserve hurricane hunter aircraft confirms the status change with maximum sustained winds recorded at 75 mph (120 km/h). Wind gusts exceed that maximum sustained wind speed.
