Rio Ferdinand defends Cristiano Ronaldo

Where was Portugal before Cristiano Ronaldo? What tournaments did they qualify for? Rio Ferdinand dropped this reflection on CR7, and the question cuts deep. He's pushing to put Ronaldo's recent years into context with his past achievements rather than letting the final stage erase everything. The argument highlights three specific stages where the player reached extraordinary levels: Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Juventus. These clubs are part of a historical mark that defines his career, regardless of what happened later. The stance is clear that his final chapter doesn't wipe out his previous contributions to the sport. The post asks readers if they agree with Rio Ferdinand about this take.
