Nicolas Cage MCU vs WWE comment

Watching over 50 incredibly gifted thespians strap into ridiculous outfits and prep for fight scenes makes it nearly impossible not to see the Marvel Cinematic Universe transforming into a glorified, well-funded version of WWE. Nicolas Cage made that comparison while speaking at Fan Expo Dallas, but he was quick to clarify that he says this with genuine affection. The reality is that the editing prioritizes those fight sequences above all else, which only drives home the point about the shift in tone.
