Lamine Yamal hugs Luka Modric

Spain beat Croatia in the Nations League and Lamine Yamal was there, but the real story happened after the final whistle. Instead of celebrating immediately with his teammates, the star of the match walked straight to Luka Modric on the pitch. Modric hugged him back and they stayed out there looking at each other during an emotional moment that felt like a postcard of the day. This gesture carries more weight than his history of sitting on a ball for celebrations or making comments about the Ballon d'Or. The respect shown here is what gets remembered, not the usual antics. WE RESPECT YOU, LAMINE.
