Michael Olise France Belgium interview

Belgium might keep debating who should have started the match, but Michael Olise says the scoreboard already has his name on it after France beat them. When a reporter asked what he saw in that single run to make it 1-0, Olise didn't overthink it; he just saw a gap. He explained that the opposition was sitting there waiting for the starting lineup to blink, but when he came on, he didn't hesitate at all. His philosophy is clear: he doesn't need ninety minutes of playtime because one ball and a yard are all he requires to change the game. Olise made sure to distinguish the role of substitutes by saying they don't exist to warm up the match, they exist to finish it.
