Hezbollah leader Qassem speaks on disarmament

The condition for any talk about weapons is clear: Israel must withdraw from the south and residents need to be able to return. Qassem stated that dialogue on this front is possible only once those steps happen, but until then, disarmament remains a non-starter. The Hezbollah leader also pushed back against claims of Israeli success in the region, asserting that forces failed to breach key southern positions held by the group. He added that successive leaders will maintain the resistance presence regardless of who is in charge. Criticism was also directed at the Lebanese state for failing to achieve results since assuming control after the 2024 war. Ultimately, the conflict will persist according to the leadership, with no option for disarmament outside the stated timeline. Source: wfwitness (TG) / Writer: Samuel
