Ciryl Gane is accused by Alexander Volkov of fouling in every single fight, though the intent behind it remains unclear. Volkov told Ariel Helwani that Gane took out the true champion, Tom Aspinall, yet received no penalties for those actions. Instead of punishment, Gane was immediately reinstated for a title shot against an opponent who has never fought at heavyweight.
