Houthi sources say IRGC experts were in the Bab El-Mandeb on Thursday and Friday to install radars. These same experts allegedly supervised tunnel excavation in hills overlooking the strait. Discussions about radar placement included areas near Mokha and Zuqar Island in the southern Red Sea. Iran has previously asserted it possesses the best military radar systems in the world.
