Jennifer Lawrence Meryl Streep GOAT misunderstanding

The vibe during a photoshoot took a sharp turn when Jennifer Lawrence casually tossed out the acronym GOAT to describe Meryl Streep, intending it as the ultimate compliment. But the term landed completely wrong in that moment because Streep interpreted the letters as referring to the animal rather than 'greatest of all time.' The misunderstanding hit hard enough that Meryl immediately responded by calling herself an old goat, which sent the situation into a new orbit. Lawrence caught the error instantly and had to step in with the clarification, saying she was like, 'Meryl, you know that GOAT means greatest of all time, right?' The reaction from Streep, including her genuine 'Oh! No!' followed by realizing she had been reading the slang completely differently, made the whole mix-up genuinely funny instead of offensive.
