Plans are reportedly being finalized to bring Destin Daniel Cretton back for SPIDER-MAN 5, and honestly that's the correct move. Amy Pascal already said she wanted him to return, so this feels like it's actually coming together. Brand New Day handed the Tom Holland era a whole different energy, and what Cretton proved is that he understands the quieter, more grounded side of Peter Parker instead of just the spectacle. Character-first is the way to go here.
