Her new film PracticalMagic2 has already secured over 3.800 theatres to play it on its opening weekend next week, not easy task for non CBM female centric live-actions, let alone a sequel to a film that actually flopped in theatres 3 decades ago. Post Covid, That’s more than ItEndsWithUs’ 3.611 theatres on its opening weekend & closer to Wicked’s 3.888 theatres, while only WickedForgood’s 4.115, TheDevilWearsPrada2’s 4.150, Barbie’s 4.243 & Ms Bullock’s own TheLostCity’s 4.253 theatres crossed the 4k mark. Even including female centric CBMs, only TheMarvels had more, with 4.030 theatres, while Supergirl had 3.602 despite being a DCU release. That’s exhibitors banking on Sandra Bullock’ star power!
