Miley Cyrus is paying tribute to her godmother, Dolly Parton, following the icon's death. Referring to her as Aunt Dolly, Miley stated that their most sacred moments were private. She said those memories will remain behind the stage, beneath the glamour, and between their hearts. Miley explained that Dolly would want her to feel this loss, write a song about it, and then continue on with strength. She noted she has an angel by her side, just as she always has. One of their final conversations focused on music and metamorphosis. Miley affirmed she will always love Dolly and wants to make her proud. Her heart breaks for the world, Dolly’s family, and friends who will miss her deeply. She emphasized that everyone is in this loss together.
