Data of Statistics mapped out which nations keep military bases abroad and how many different countries those bases sit in, and the spread is wild. USA is way out in front with a presence in 55 countries. Russia and the United Kingdom both clock 13 countries each. Türkiye follows with 12, India has 6, France is at 5, and China lands at 4. Then it drops to Iran with 3, and a cluster of nations at 2: Saudi Arabia, Australia, Germany, Italy, Singapore, and the UAE. Rounding out the list at 1 country apiece are Bangladesh, Pakistan, Japan, Israel, Greece, and Spain. The graphic makes it easy to see who's projecting force and who's keeping things compact.
