A group of moderate Democrats has launched a new initiative called "The Promise to America," complete with a dedicated web page. Thirteen House members have signed onto the platform, which aims to draw a clear ideological line: capitalist over socialist, safety over lawlessness, fiscal responsibility over recklessness, a government that solves problems rather than creating them, and a stance that is proud of America.
