@polly_springChristian Bale spent roughly 15–16 years quietly working to create a foster-care village in Palmdale through the nonprofit Together California. The project, costing around $20–22 million, was designed to keep siblings from being separated in the foster system by housing them together in family-style homes. It also includes apartments for teens aging out of care and a large community center offering support services to help them transition successfully into adulthood. Christian Bale was deeply involved for over a decade in helping make the village a reality.
