Global willingness to fight for country (photo 2 of 2)

@writersroom.boardwalkThe question posed to people across the globe was simple: would you fight for your country? The answers reveal a stark hierarchy of willingness, with Armenia sitting at the very top where 96% of respondents said yes. Saudi Arabia comes in second with 94%, followed closely by Azerbaijan at 88%. Pakistan registered 86% affirmative responses, while Georgia came in next at 83%. Afghanistan showed 82% saying they would defend their nation, and Kosovo followed with 79%. India appeared next on the list with 76%, succeeded by Iran at 74%. Turkey recorded 73%, Iraq sat at 71%, and Malaysia came in at 68%. Peru had 64% willing to fight, Mexico followed with 63%, and Ukraine reached 62%. Indonesia and Albania both tied at 60%, while Kazakhstan and Ecuador rounded out this section with 58%. The full dataset continues downward from there, showing Kenya at 56%, Moldova and Syria both at 55%, Thailand at 50%, and the Philippines at 48%. Argentina and Sweden are tied at 47%, South Korea sits at 46%, Poland is at 45%, Romania follows with 42%, and the United States appears much lower at 41%. Switzerland matches the US at 41%, Bosnia & Herzegovina is at 40%, Portugal drops to 39%, Serbia stands at 36%, and North Macedonia is at 34%. Canada ties with North Macedonia at 34%, the United Kingdom falls to 33%, Russia is at 32%, Bulgaria and Nigeria both sit at 30%, Spain is at 29%, Hong Kong at 28%, Germany at 23%, Austria at 20%, Italy at 14%, and Japan lands at the bottom with just 9%. Every single figure listed here represents the percentage of people who answered affirmatively to the survey question about fighting for their nation. The entire ranking is organized strictly from the highest percentage down to the lowest. These numbers originate from the Gallup International Association End of Year Survey 2023/24 alongside other web sources.

    À propos de cette photo

A group of soldiers in camouflage uniforms stand at attention in front of a tank. One soldier stands on top of the tank, looking out. The scene is outdoors on a sunny day with a bright blue sky and scattered clouds. The soldiers' gear and the tank suggest a military demonstration or event. One soldier's uniform has a patch with a white cross on a black background.
